Safety Awards Program. 1. Service Supervisors assigned to field duties seventy-five percent (75%) of the time, Service Supervisors working the Extra Board, and Transit Operators shall be eligible for a safety award of one hundred dollars ($100) for each calendar quarter in which they have had no preventable vehicle accidents as defined by the National Safety Council and no passenger accidents; and have had no more than fifteen (15) working days absence, excluding leave covered under the Family and Medical Leave Act, vacation leave, jury duty leave, paid military leave, Union leave, and up to five (5) days sick leave for reasons of bereavement. 2. Employees in the following classifications shall be eligible for a safety award of one hundred dollars ($100) for each calendar quarter in which they have had no preventable vehicle accident as defined by the National Safety Council and no preventable on-the-job injuries; and have had no more than fifteen (15) working days absence, excluding leave covered under the Family and Medical Leave Act, vacation leave, jury duty leave, paid military leave, Union leave and up to five (5) days sick leave for reasons of bereavement: a. All classifications listed on Appendix B b. All classifications listed on Appendix C c. All classifications listed on Appendix D d. All classifications listed on Appendix F 3. Safety awards will be paid within thirty (30) calendar days of the end of the quarter.
