The 'Round Table Discussions' clause establishes a formal process for parties to engage in collaborative meetings to address issues, share information, or resolve disputes related to the agreement. Typically, this clause outlines when such discussions should be convened, who may participate, and the procedures for conducting the meetings, such as setting agendas or documenting outcomes. Its core function is to promote open communication and problem-solving between parties, helping to prevent misunderstandings and resolve conflicts before they escalate.
Round Table Discussions. The Superintendent of Schools or his/her designee and Superintendent-invited Administrators will meet at least four (4) times annually on mutually agreed upon dates, with the President/Co-President of the Association and Association-invited building representatives of each school for a round table discussion of current district/school affairs. Association agenda items will be provided to the Superintendent at least one week in advance. The Superintendent may recommend agenda items at the time the Association agenda items are presented. The Superintendent and the Association President/Co- President shall mutually agree on the agenda items to be addressed at the round table meeting. Building-specific issues will be addressed with the building Administrator prior to submitting the agenda item to the round table for discussion. The individual contributing an agenda item will be present at the round table discussion or convey details of the agenda item to the Association President/Co-President or building representative.
Round Table Discussions. A Round Table Forum will be held on a scheduled basis between the Administration and the Association, and if necessary, other staff members. A proposed agenda will be provided to the Superintendent at least two (2) weeks prior to the meeting.
Round Table Discussions. The District Principal of Aboriginal Education worked in partnership with the Career and Transitions Coordinator to organize and facilitate round table discussions in each nation. During a round table, students meet mentors from each nation with careers in various professions. These small group discussions give more opportunity for sharing experiences and gain a better understanding of what is required to be successful in that field. Community members attended and shared their experiences. The mentors included, a ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, a heavy duty mechanic, a nurse, a web designer, a business owner, Chief of St’àt’imc Tribal Police, community Chiefs and a health manager. This work supports the academic goal of the Enhancement Agreement (EA), as transitions into post-secondary are essential to the success of Indigenous students.
