Common use of Role and Obligations of the Subscriber Clause in Contracts

Role and Obligations of the Subscriber. Before accepting and using a QuoVadis Code-Signing Certificate, the Subscriber must: (i) generate its own Key Pair; (ii) submit an Application; and (iii) accept and agree to the terms of this Agreement. The Subscriber is solely responsible for the generation of the Key Pair to which the QuoVadis Code-Signing Certificate relates and for the protection of the Private Key underlying the QuoVadis Code-Signing Certificate. All Subscribers require a distinguished name that is in compliance with the ITU X.500 standard for Distinguished Names (DN). The Distinguished Names of a Code Signing Certificate must identify the legal entity that intends to have control over the use of the Private Key when signing code. The Subscriber represents, warrants and covenants, so long as the Code-Signing Certificate is valid, that:
