An apprentice may be subject to layoff as per other conditions of the Agreement but cannot be bumped. An apprentice who has failed a technical examination shall only be permitted to repeat twice. In the event the apprentice fails a third time, the apprenticeship will be terminated immediately. The apprentice will be entitled to return to their former positon or another which is consistent with their seniority, qualifications and former wage rate.
