Common use of Retirement Notification Clause in Contracts

Retirement Notification. A. A letter of intention to retire shall have been filed with the Superintendent’s office by May 1 of the current school year for the planned retirement. If, due to extenuating circumstances, the retiree cannot notify the school board of his/her intention to retire at the end of the current school year, payment of retirement shall depend upon the recommendation of the Superintendent with the concurrence of the School Board.
