Common use of RETENTION OF RECORDS/AUDIT Clause in Contracts

RETENTION OF RECORDS/AUDIT. The Contractor shall retain and maintain all records and documents relating to this Contract for three years after final payment by the Department hereunder or any applicable statute of limitations, whichever is longer, and shall make them available for inspection and audit by authorized representatives of the Department, including the procurement officer or designee, at all reasonable times. The Department shall have the right, during usual business hours, to examine and audit pertinent records of the Contractor to verify invoices submitted pursuant to this Contract.
