Restriction of Physical Access to Personal Data. Any physical access to data or systems that house Personal Data are appropriately restricted using appropriate entry controls and procedures to distinguish between onsite personnel and visitors. Access to sensitive areas is controlled and includes processes for authorization based on job function and access revocation for personnel and visitors. Media and backups are secured and (internal and external) distribution is strictly controlled. Media containing Personal Data no longer needed for business or legal reasons is rendered unrecoverable or physically destroyed.
