Common use of Responsibility Clause Clause in Contracts

Responsibility Clause. 5-1 No employee will be assigned to perform the responsibilities of a regular position in a higher class unless such assignment is issued in writing by an Appropriate Administrator. Any Employee who is officially assigned in writing by an Appropriate Administrator to perform the responsibilities of a regular position in a higher class, for the majority of a shift because of the absence of a regular status Employee shall, after five (5) consecutive Days, five (5) Days in a three-month period, or eight (8) Days within the school year be granted retroactively a five (5), ten (l0), or fifteen percent (15) increase. 5-1-1 The percentage increase shall be determined by finding the Employee's current salary step and advancing on the step column toward the range of increased responsibility, not to exceed fifteen percent (15%). On any successive responsibility assignment to the same position in the higher class within the previous twelve (12) months, the Employee shall receive responsibility pay effective the first day of the assignment. 5-1-2 If the Employee is subsequently promoted from the responsibility assignment to the regular assignment, placement on the salary schedule shall be made in accordance with Regulation 4293 (Placement and Advancement on the Education Support Employees Salary Schedule).
