Request for Extensions Sample Clauses
A Request for Extensions clause allows a party to formally seek additional time to fulfill contractual obligations when unforeseen delays occur. Typically, this clause outlines the process for submitting a request, such as providing written notice and supporting documentation explaining the cause of the delay, like supply chain disruptions or adverse weather. Its core function is to provide a structured mechanism for adjusting deadlines, thereby reducing the risk of breach due to circumstances beyond a party’s control and promoting fairness in contract performance.
