Common use of Request for Exemption Clause in Contracts

Request for Exemption. In the event the Contractor is unable to meet the specified goal level, that Contractor must submit a written request for a partial or full exemption from the SBE goal. This request shall include the names of all SBE firms that the contractor will utilize on the contract and shall describe the specific work to be performed by each SBE together with the actual dollar amount of that work. Additionally, this request must address the Contractor’s efforts to make Reasonable Outreach Efforts as enumerated in Section VIII.
