Reporting Incident. Any case of assault upon a teacher shall be promptly reported, in writing, to his/her building administrator. If a bargaining unit member is required to attend a legal proceeding related to such incident, the member shall be granted paid leave for that purpose.

Reporting Incident. ‌ The Injured Teacher must report the incident to the police or county attorney and to the District Superintendent as soon as the Injured Teacher is physically able to do so. Paragraph 6: Accumulation:‌ The Injured Teacher shall be eligible for the leave during the period of time in which the Injured Teacher is physically totally disabled from performing his/her duties as a teacher for the District. Paragraph 2: Salary:‌ The salary paid to the Injured Teacher during the period of leave shall be reduced by any and all other sums paid to the Injured Teacher for such period of disability, including but not limited to worker’s compensation, disability insurance and wage continuation insurance of any kind (hereinafter ‘Benefits’).
