Common use of Release of POS holds Clause in Contracts

Release of POS holds. Any POS hold on your Account will be released upon the earlier of: (a) the day we: (i) receive the actual transaction, (ii) post that transaction to your Account for payment, and (iii) match the authorization of that transaction to the actual transaction; or (b) five (5) business days after the date we authorized that transaction. The release of the POS hold will be in the form of a credit to your Account for the amount of the hold. Credits for released POS holds and payments for Card transactions are posted separately to your Account, and the credit for any particular POS hold is not used to pay the particular transaction for which the hold was placed.
