Regular Standby Sample Clauses

The "Regular Standby" clause defines the conditions under which an individual or employee is required to be available for work outside of their normal working hours, typically on a scheduled basis. This clause usually specifies the frequency, duration, and compensation for standby periods, and may outline the expectations for response times if called upon. Its core practical function is to ensure that essential personnel are accessible to address urgent needs or emergencies, thereby maintaining operational continuity and minimizing disruptions.
Regular Standby. Those employees on standby will be carried on a standby roster to be established and maintained through procedures promulgated by the Chief of Police. For each listing on the regular standby roster, the employee will be compensated at the rate of one and one-half (1 ½) hours pay at the employee’s regular hourly rate for each eight (8) hour period of standby. If the period of time served is less than eight (8) hours, the employee shall receive a minimum one (1) hours pay.
Regular Standby. Any employee of the District covered by this Agreement may be placed in a “stand-by” status at the discretion of the Duty Chief due to operational need, including any forecasted emergency conditions. Such stand-by status may be maintained for so long as the operational need exists, as determined by the Duty Chief. Any such employee shall be compensated at the rate of one-fourth (1/4) the employee’s regular rate of pay, or twenty- five dollars ($25.00), for each twenty-four (24) hour period, or fraction thereof, during which the employee is scheduled to be in a stand-by status, whichever sum provides the maximum benefit to the employee.
