Regular Saturday Shift Work. Shift workers required to work on Saturday as part of their ordinary hours in any week shall be paid for such ordinary shift at time and one quarter based on their ordinary rate of pay plus the relevant shift loading as per clause 22.3 (e.g. if an employee works 8 ordinary hours they shall be paid 8 hours at ordinary rate plus 25% Saturday loading plus any relevant shift penalty. The shift penalty is calculated on the 8 ordinary hours and does not include the 25% Saturday loading).

  • Saturday Work (a) No work shall be performed on any Saturday without the prior permission of the Regional Chamber which may impose such conditions as it may deem fit.

  • Regular Work Week The Sheriff shall determine the work schedule for employees in his/her department. Unless agreed upon by the Association and the City as set forth below under the heading “Alternate Work Schedule”, a regular workweek is a tour of duty of five (5) consecutive days within a seven (7) day period. A regular workweek is a tour of duty of five (5) consecutive days within a seven (7) day period. However, employees who are moving from one shift or one work schedule to another may be required to work in excess of five (5) working days in conjunction with changes in their work shifts or schedules.

  • Regular Work Day ACs shall work an 8-hour work- day, inclusive of a forty-five minute duty free lunch pe- riod. All travel time is part of a 8-hour workday, except travel to and from the school each day. The practice of two attendance swipes per day shall be maintained. The work day shall normally begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m.; however, the start and end times may vary ac- cording to the school start and end times as well as any meetings prior to or after the regular work day (e.g., if an AC is assigned to a school that starts at 8:30 a.m. and has mandatory administrative meetings at 7:30 a.m., the ACs day would start at 7:30 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m.). It is understood that ACs may be required to work outside their regular workday or workweek schedule.

  • Regular Hours The regular hours of work each day shall be consecutive except for interruptions for lunch periods.

  • Holidays Falling on Saturday or Sunday (a) For an employee whose workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays fall on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as observed on some other day, the following Monday shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement; and when a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies to the Monday), shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Sunday Work All work performed on Sunday shall be paid at straight time rates plus a premium of one dollar ($1.00) per hour (fifty cents ($0.50) for each full half hour worked). For purposes of the Collective Agreement, Sunday is considered the first (1st) day of the basic work week and in the event an employee worked in excess of the basic work week, as set out in Subsection (a), the last such day or days worked in such weeks shall be considered as the day or days for which overtime applies.

  • Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, etc If the last or appointed day for the taking of any action or the expiration of any right required or granted herein shall not be a Business Day, then such action may be taken or such right may be exercised on the next succeeding Business Day.

  • Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays If the last or appointed day for the taking of any action or the expiration of any right required or granted herein shall be a Saturday or a Sunday or shall be a legal holiday in the State of New York, then such action may be taken or such right may be exercised on the next succeeding day not a legal holiday.

  • Workweek A regularly re-occurring period of one hundred and sixty-eight (168) hours consisting of seven (7) consecutive twenty-four (24) hour periods. Workweeks will normally begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 12:00 midnight the following Saturday or as otherwise designated by the appointing authority. If there is a change in their workweek, employees will be given written notification by the appointing authority or their designee.

  • Holiday Falling on Saturday or Sunday For an employee whose normal workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday will be deemed to be the holiday.
