Recertification. A teacher who has taken leave because of a serious health condition or that of a family member is required by the Board to obtain subsequent written recertification of the medical condition every fivefive (5) weeks during the duration of the condition. The Board also requires a teacher, or his/her representative, on leave under this provision to report periodically, in writing, at least every month on his/her status and the intention of the teacher to return to work.
