Common use of Re-write for Illness Clause in Contracts

Re-write for Illness. In the event that an Employee is unable to write due to illness or accident (confirmed by a medical certificate), he/she will be permitted to write another examination within thirty (30) days of the date when the original written examination was held. Such Employee will be advised of the time and location at least one (1) week in advance. It is understood that if the Employee successfully completes that examination that he/she will have his/her pay and classification backdated to his/her anniversary date. In the event the illness is of a prolonged nature, the parties will meet to discuss alternatives.
