Re-write for Illness. In the event an Employee is unable to write the examination because of illness or accident (confirmed by a medical certificate), he/she shall submit a letter to the Fire Chief by the 2nd Wednesday in February indicating their name and rank and their desire to write the re-write exam. The Fire Chief shall immediately submit the name and rank of the Employee to the Division Chief Training. The re-write promotion examination will be held on the 4th Wednesday in February of the year of the competition.
