Typical Generic Position Descriptions which in- clude minimum qualifications and corresponding points for Library Technician 2 through 6 have been developed jointly by the Employer and the Union and shall be con- sidered part of this Agreement. A description for each specific position shall be written by the Employer with consultation with the em- ployee who is the incumbent. Each specific position de- scription shall be reviewed by the Committee and shall be compared with the Generic De- scriptions to determine its appropriate salary classification. If there is disagreement as to the description or the salary classification. such dispute may be resolved through the Grievance Procedure. During the term of this agreement should the Em- ployer create any new position within the jurisdiction of the bargaining unit which does not fall within the cate- gories contained in Appendix A, the appropriate rate of pay for such position shall be discussed by the Employer and the Union. If the parties are unable to agree on the rate of pay for the job in question, the dispute shall be submitted to arbitration in accordance with the grievance and arbitration provisions of this agreement. In the future should there be any other program- mer analyst or programmer positions required in the li- brary, these positions will be posted within the jurisdiction of the bargaining unit and the appropriate salary ranges will be developed. The memorandum of agreement regarding generic descriptions, dated June shall form part of this agreement. The memorandum of agreement regarding the job evaluation of all employees represented by Local shall form part of this agreement.
