Provision for Trainees. Employees whom the Company is training to fill technical, commercial or supervisory positions may be employed or retained in employment in plant operations irrespective of the provisions of Articles 12 to 16 inclusive. The Unit Chairperson or Chief ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ of the Union shall be advised in writing of such appointments. Except by agreement with the Union, such appointments shall not exceed 1% of the total number of employees covered by this contract.
