The 'Protected Animals' clause defines which animal species are subject to special legal protections under the agreement or applicable law. Protected Animals. Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Agreement, the Tenant may keep a pet that qualifies as a service animal under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or an emotional support animal under applicable State and Federal laws. Tenants must provide documentation verifying the animal’s status as a service animal or emotional support animal upon request.
Protected Animals. The Tenant may keep a pet recognized as a service animal under ADA or as an emotional support animal under relevant laws, provided documentation is available upon request.
