Promotion Examination. The competitive elements of the examination will consist of a written examination, oral examination and Departmental evaluation. The passing grade on the written examination shall be seventy percent (70%) and the failure of the applicant on the written examination shall disqualify him from further consideration. All officers who pass the written examination shall be given the oral examination and Department evaluation. An employee must obtain a minimum average of seventy percent (70%) on the written, oral board and Department evaluations for inclusion on the eligibility list.
