Promotion Application. 1. A promotion is defined as an advertised position that is in a higher Band than the applicant’s current position, regardless of the weekly hours of work.
Promotion Application. 1. Where the base weekly income (maximum rate) of the advertised position is higher than the base weekly income (maximum rate) of the applicant's present position.
2. Where an employee submits an application to a position of equal rating (same base weekly income) which requires fewer normal weekly hours of work.
3. Where an employee who presently occupies a position regularly requiring or subject to shift work, applies for a position of equal rating (same base weekly income) but not regularly requiring or subject to shift work.
Promotion Application a) Employees who have completed their probationary period may make application for an opening by properly filling out an application form designed and supplied by the Company and submitting it to the Human Resource Department; refer to Appendix H.
b) An employee may file a promotion application at any time. Applications will remain on file until December 31 of each year, at which time they will become inactive. Employees desiring to remaining in consideration for promotions must file new applications after January 1. Applications may be withdrawn at any time. Applications of file by any employee will not be considered if the employee is present in the plant the ten days that the job is posted.
