Common use of Project Scope Statement Clause in Contracts

Project Scope Statement. The Department shall supply a scope statement for the Project. The Project Scope statement may contain background and justification for the Project and quantification of Work items contained in the Project. The Project Scope statement will define the Base Construction Allocation. For new construction and major rehabilitation projects, the Department may provide a program statement describing proposed program activities, space requirements, and equipment needs. Where a Project Scope statement is not supplied by the Department, or where the supplied Project Scope statement does not contain sufficient information to proceed with design, the Professional shall work with the Department and develop the Project Scope statement or missing parts.
