Project Purpose. The purpose and need for the project are to provide for Class II Bikeways (Bike Lanes) in conformance with the Bikeways Plan of the Circulation Element of the City General Plan and Local Coastal Plan and the SBCAG Regional Active Transportation Plan; and sidewalk widening including upgrades to curb ramps in conformance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The project will culminate in a technical seminar for key stakeholders upon the completion of the Project Report.
Project Purpose. The purpose of the project is to strengthen the institutional capacity of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine (Department of State Policy in Rail Transport Sector and Transport Safety Department), State Service of Ukraine on Transport Safety and Security and JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” in the framework of rail transport reform in line with relevant EU acquis and standards by providing best EU practices and assistance to contribute in: - the work on implementation plans for EU acquis, legal drafting and setting up new regulatory and enforcement bodies in the rail transport sector; - improvement of rail infrastructure management, operation, and development; - evolution of rail service market access and introduction of competition among the rail service market actors in line with the EU requirements. Project Purpose. This project will connect to two other projects that are also planned in the corridor: the Xxxxx Xxxxx 000 / Xxxxxxxxxxx Xxxxxxxxx Interchange Improvements; and the Xxxxx Xxxxx 000 Xxxx Xxxxxxxx Improvements. The Blackie Road Extension will provide a new connection from the major distribution center in south Castroville to State Route 156, reducing truck traffic and congestion on Xxxxx Xxxxx 000/Xxxxxxx Xxxxxx through town.
Project Purpose. The purpose of the project is to control access and provide increased capacity to safely accommodate existing and planned development in accordance with the Champaign-Urbana Urbanized Area Transportation Study “C-U in 2030” plan. An improved transportation system is necessary to support current and future economic growth and development in southeast Urbana. Several new businesses such as Meijer, Xxxxxxx’x Pizza, Busey Bank, Subway, Xxxx’s Restaurant and two health clinics, Xxxxx Clinic and Christie Clinic, have recently opened adjacent to Windsor Road. Providing a four-lane roadway will not only provide increased capacity but also offer continuity with the existing Windsor Road system west of Philo Road. This improvement will complete the upgrade of Windsor Road from US Rte. 45 to High Cross Road (IL. Rte. 130) to a four lane roadway. Participating Agencies The Illinois Department of Transportation is providing $3,500,000 STP (U) Federal Highway Funds for the project, representing approximately 50% of the project construction costs. Per an intergovernmental agreement executed on January 18th 2008, the City of Urbana and Champaign County, will share the remaining project costs equally.
