Common use of Prohibition of Data Mining Clause in Contracts

Prohibition of Data Mining. Unless otherwise agreed to by the parties and in support of functions contained in the agreements listed in Section 1.2, Trading Partner is prohibited from any and all automated extraction of predictive information from data for the purpose of finding patterns of behavior and trends or anomalies that may otherwise escape detection, the advanced statistical analysis and modeling of the data to find useful patterns and relationships, and the use of computational techniques involving statistics, machine learning and pattern recognition to analyze the data.
