Common use of PROHIBITED DECKING AREAS Clause in Contracts

PROHIBITED DECKING AREAS. Right-of-way timber shall not be decked in the following areas: • Within the grubbing limits. • Within 50 feet of any stream. • In locations that interfere with the construction of the road prism. • In locations that impede drainage. • On slopes greater than 40%. • Against standing trees unless approved by the Contract Administrator. SUBSECTION GRUBBING 3-10 GRUBBING Remove all stumps between the grubbing limits specified on the Typical Section Sheet. Those stumps outside the grubbing limits but with undercut roots shall also be removed. Xxxxx removal shall be accomplished using a hydraulic mounted excavator unless authorized, in writing, by the Contract Administrator. Grubbing shall be completed before starting excavation and embankment.
