Professional Practice Time Clause Samples
Professional Practice Time. (a) A full-time Teacher will be entitled to release from scheduled class time for the purposes of additional time to focus on improved delivery of high-quality teaching and learning, in accordance with the following table: This time release is pro-rata for a Teacher employed part-time.
(b) Work done in that time will be consistent with school priorities and selected from the following areas:
(i) planning;
(ii) preparation;
(iii) assessment of student learning;
(iv) collaboration;
(v) curriculum development; and
(vi) relevant professional development.
(c) The timing and focus of the time release will be nominated by the Teacher and be agreed in consultation with the Principal.
(d) Where the timing and/or focus are not agreed, the timing will be determined by the Principal and the focus will be determined by the Teacher consistent with the focus areas set out above.
Professional Practice Time. 18.1 Professional Practice Time is defined as on-campus time allocated to teachers for the purposes of completing the necessary requirements of their work. During this time, teachers may choose the work requirements they wish to complete.
18.2 For each of the 2022, 2023 and 2024 School Years, the employer will provide for 20 hours of Professional Practice Time over the course of any academic year.
Professional Practice Time. (a) A full-time Teacher will be entitled to 20 hours of release (pro-rata for part-time Teachers) from scheduled class time over the school year for the purposes of additional time to focus on improved delivery of high quality teaching and learning. This time is equivalent to the four Professional Practice Days operating in the Victorian government sector.
(b) Work done in that time will be consistent with school priorities and selected from the following areas:
(i) planning;
(ii) preparation;
(iii) assessment of student learning;
(iv) collaboration;
(v) curriculum development;
(vi) relevant professional development.
(c) The timing and focus of the time release will be nominated by the Teacher and be agreed in consultation with the Principal.
(d) Where the timing and/or focus are not agreed, the timing will be determined by the Principal and the focus will be determined by the Teacher consistent with the focus areas set out above.
(e) For the 2021 school year, a full-time Teacher will be entitled to 10 hours of release in Term 1 and Term 2 (pro-rata for part-time Teachers).
(f) This clause will cease to operate or have any effect from 28 June 2021.
