Professional Development Portfolio Sample Clauses

The Professional Development Portfolio clause establishes requirements for maintaining a record of an individual's ongoing training, certifications, and professional achievements. Typically, this clause outlines the types of activities or documentation that must be included in the portfolio, such as completed courses, workshops attended, or evidence of skill development, and may specify how often the portfolio should be updated or reviewed. Its core function is to ensure that individuals continuously develop their professional skills and that there is a clear, organized record of their progress for evaluation or compliance purposes.
Professional Development Portfolio. A Professional Development Portfolio shall be submitted to the Department Chairperson and the Chief Academic Officer by the Probationary Employee on a specified date prior to the second, third and fourth semesters of probation. Probationary Employees shall follow the guidelines for Professional Development Portfolio, Appendix PP for each iteration of their evaluation as Probationary Employees. Probationary Employees must conduct the Student Opinion Survey in all sections of each course of their assignment each semester not withstanding Article 7.4 and submit them to the Department Chair at the end of each semester. Upon completion of each iteration of the Department/Faculty and Administrative evaluation processes, using feedback from the evaluations, student opinion surveys, and self-assessments relative to duties, the probationary Employee will highlight a thorough consideration of strengths and areas for growth following the format of Appendix PP, Professional Development Portfolio. Upon completion, materials should be submitted to the Chief Academic Officer and the Department Chairperson.
Professional Development Portfolio. A Professional Development Portfolio, Appendix PP shall be completed in two phases by the Employee under review prior to the end of the semester in which the review process is scheduled. Phase 1 - In advance of the scheduled reviews, the Employee shall begin the review process by providing a collection of Phase 2 - Upon completion of the review processes, using feedback from the peer consultations, administrative review/conference, and reflection on student opinion surveys since the last review process, the Employee will complete a Professional Development Portfolio by providing a self- assessment relative to duties highlighting strengths and areas for growth.
Professional Development Portfolio. Teachers may submit a portfolio documenting the implementation of instructional strategies learned during professional development. The portfolio should contain documentation* from the implementation of at least two instructional strategies covered in professional development. This documentation includes the following (for each strategy implemented): • The identified instructional strategy • Rationale for this selection • Lesson plan(s) in which this strategy is being implemented • Student work samples • Intervisitation notes from a class using this strategy • Reflection and next steps *Teachers will be provided with templates for these artifacts upon request

Complete/signed Peer Consultation (Appendix PC) 3. Complete/signed Administrative Review (Appendix AR) 4. A few representative samples of feedback from the Student Opinion Survey (Appendix SO) as collected since the last review. 5. Complete/signed Professional Portfolio (Appendix PP)
Professional Development Portfolio. Faculty members will track their professional development activities in a portfolio on a yearly basis. Portfolio contents will reference the professional development activities in which they have participated at Oakton and outside Oakton and document the activities as follows: 1. A listing of professional development sessions attended or presented during Orientation Week and sessions sponsored by Oakton’s CPD during the year, as well as Oakton classes and seminars. It may also include other Oakton opportunities such as cultural events or public forums. 2. Reports on any conference for which Oakton funding was provided. 3. Projects that faculty members submit upon completing professional development seminars, faculty fellows, and sabbaticals. 4. Transcripts or certificates of completion for course work. 5. Publications and other relevant documents related to professional development activities. 6. A listing of additional conferences, public presentations, performances, exhibits, or other relevant professional work.
