Common use of Product Certification Clause in Contracts

Product Certification. UL Contracting Party conducts a full performance evaluation of the meter with independent third-party testing or independent test auditing. The program includes all of the applicable requirements in the identified standard(s). Surveillance audits (follow-up) are conducted on a periodic basis to verify the meter’s continued compliance with the requirements. Continued participation in this service is contingent upon acceptable completion of the surveillance audits. Upon successful completion of the testing UL Contracting Party will make a certification decision based on the information gathered during the evaluation process and, if found to be in compliance with the applicable technical and program requirements, issue a Certificate of Conformance and authorize the use of one or more Marks. The product will be included in the UL Contracting Party’s directory of certified products for this service.
