Procedures for Selection. In selecting materials for purchase, the librarian evaluates the existing collection, consults book reviews and articles on newly published materials, uses publishers' catalogs and bibliographies of selected works for school libraries, solicits recommendations from the teaching staff, and accepts suggestions from students and other members of the AISCT community.
