Previously Owned Platforms Clause Samples

The "Previously Owned Platforms" clause defines the ownership and usage rights of technology platforms, software, or systems that a party developed or acquired prior to entering into the current agreement. This clause typically clarifies that any such pre-existing platforms remain the sole property of the original owner, even if they are used or integrated during the course of the new project or collaboration. By establishing clear boundaries around intellectual property, the clause prevents disputes over ownership and ensures that only new developments or modifications made during the agreement are subject to shared rights or obligations.
