Common use of Preliminary Estimate Clause in Contracts

Preliminary Estimate. When sufficient Project information has been identified, Private Entity shall prepare for Owner’s acceptance a preliminary estimate utilizing area, volume, or similar conceptual estimating techniques. The estimate shall be updated periodically with the level of detail for each estimate update reflecting the information then available. If the preliminary estimate or any update exceeds Owner’s budget, Private Entity shall make recommendations to Owner.
