Common use of PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING AUTHORIZATION Clause in Contracts

PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING AUTHORIZATION. If Preliminary Engineering is an eligible expense, then upon receipt of an executed agreement, the Department will authorize Preliminary Engineering funds and shall notify the Municipality, in writing, once funds have been authorized and can be expended. The Municipality shall not initiate any work, nor solicit for any professional services prior to receipt of written authorization from the Department to proceed. Any work performed, or contracts executed, prior to receipt of written authorization to proceed will be ineligible for reimbursement.
