Common use of Posting of Contributions Clause in Contracts

Posting of Contributions. A Contribution, exchange, or transfer to Your Account must be received “in good order” before it can be posted to Your Account. “In good order” means that all required information and/or documentation has been supplied and that the funds are properly authorized and clearly identify the SSN or account number to which they are to be applied. Contributions must include the name, SSN and the source of the funds (for example, transfer, rollover, or a contribution for a particular tax year). If the funds are received in good order by Us or directly by our bank by 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Your Account will be credited on the Business Day of receipt. Contributions in good order received by Us or directly by our bank after 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time will be credited on the next Business Day. If funds are not received in good order, such amounts will be posted effective the date all required information is received.
