Common use of Police Powers Clause in Contracts

Police Powers. Comcast's rights under this Agreement are subject to the police powers of the Township to adopt and enforce general laws and regulations necessary for the safety and welfare of the public. Such laws and regulations are separate and distinct from the terms and conditions contained in this Agreement. If the Township’s exercise of the police power results in a material alteration of the terms and conditions of this Agreement, then the parties shall negotiate amendments in good faith to this Agreement to the mutual satisfaction of both parties to ameliorate the negative effects on Comcast of the material alteration.

Comcast's rights under this Agreement are subject to the police powers of the Township Borough to adopt and enforce general laws and regulations necessary for the safety and welfare of the public. Such laws and regulations are separate and distinct from the terms and conditions contained in this Agreement. If the TownshipBorough’s exercise of the police power results in a material alteration of the terms and conditions of this Agreement, then the parties shall negotiate amendments in good faith to this Agreement to the mutual satisfaction of both parties to ameliorate the negative effects on Comcast of the material alteration.

Subject to Section 2.6 herein, Comcast's rights under this Agreement are subject to the police powers of the Township County to adopt and enforce general laws and regulations necessary for the safety and welfare of the public; provided, however, that such laws, ordinances, and regulations are lawful, and consistent with applicable federal and State laws, regulations and orders. Such laws and regulations are separate and distinct from the terms and conditions contained in this Agreement. If the Township’s exercise of the police power results in a material alteration of the terms and conditions of this Agreement, then the parties shall negotiate amendments in good faith to this Agreement to the mutual satisfaction of both parties to ameliorate the negative effects on Comcast of the material alteration.

Such laws and regulations are separate and distinct from the terms and conditions contained in this Agreement. If the Township’s exercise of the police power results in a material alteration of the terms and conditions of this Agreement, then the parties shall negotiate amendments in good faith to this Agreement to the mutual satisfaction of both parties to ameliorate the negative effects on Comcast of the material alteration.

Comcast's rights under this Agreement are subject to the police powers of the Township City to adopt and enforce general laws and regulations necessary for the safety and welfare of the public. These include general laws and regulations as well as laws and regulations pertaining to the construction, operation and maintenance of cable systems. Such laws and regulations are separate and distinct from the terms and conditions contained in this Agreement. If the Township’s exercise of the police power results in a material alteration of the terms and conditions of this Agreement, then the parties shall negotiate amendments in good faith to this Agreement to the mutual satisfaction of both parties to ameliorate the negative effects on Comcast of the material alteration.
