Common use of Police Chief Clause in Contracts

Police Chief. A Union member having a grievance will reduce it to writing and present the written grievance to the Chief of the Police Department within ten (10) days of the incident giving rise to the grievance, or within ten (10) days after the member first learned of the incident (not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of the action or event). The Chief or appropriate designee, shall discuss the grievance with the Union member and respond to the grievance within ten (10) days.
