Plain and Reinforced Cement Concrete. 4.0.1. Cement concrete shall be of the specified grade of volumetric mix as indicated. Mixing, placing, compaction and curing of cement concrete shall be carried out as per M.E.S SSR Part - I (2009). Quantity of water used in the concrete mix of RCC work shall be sufficient to produce a dense concrete of adequate workability for its purpose, which will surround and properly grip all the reinforcement. Workability of concrete shall be control by maintaining a water cement ratio that is found to give a concrete, which is just sufficiently wet to be placed and compacted without difficulty with the means available. 4.0.2. Water used for mixing and curing shall be clean and free from injurious amounts of oils, acid alkalis, salt sugar, and other substances those are deleterious to concrete or steel. PH Value of water shall be between 6 and 9 and shall meet the requirement of IS and SSR.
