Pilot Responsibilities. 9.4.1 The pilot must at all times comply with the Civil Aviation Act (1990) and all appropriate CARs. 9.4.2 During a mission Aviation Crew must ensure that communications with the National Air Desk is in accordance with this Agreement, and comply with flight following procedures and Ambulance Incident Command and Control procedures. 9.4.3 In order to ensure that the flight can be conducted safely the minimum regulated standards for flight planning and flight following must be strictly followed. 9.4.4 No passengers or Provider's personnel are permitted to travel on the Aircraft, other than the Aviation Crew and Clinical Crew (or other mission specific crew such as SAR) and parent/guardian/support person and others, including the Service User. The pilot-in-command has the final decision when accepting the above authorised passengers. Any other passenger types must be approved by NASO in writing. 9.4.5 Where a passenger is carried with authorisation, he or she must be listed on a manifest.
Pilot Responsibilities i) A PIC must be designated for each flight and recorded on the ODF Fixed Wing / Helicopter Shift Ticket. ii) Pilots operating Type 3 and 4 UAS are responsible for daily record keeping and documentation (ODF Fixed Wing / Helicopter Shift Ticket). iii) Pilots are responsible for performing a thorough preflight inspection of the UAS. The PIC is responsible for determining that the aircraft is in a safe condition for flight. The PIC must discontinue flight when the aircraft encounters un-airworthy mechanical, electrical, or structural conditions. iv) Pilot and observers will not have any concurrent duties or responsibilities during the mission. Pilots and observers can only fulfill one crew duty at a time. v) The FINAL go-no-go decision for any flight or maneuver is the responsibility of the PIC. vi) Overloading aircraft will not be permitted. All pilots will follow appropriate procedures to ensure that aircraft weight and balance computations are within authorized limits prior to flight.
Pilot Responsibilities. 18.1 A Pilot will not fly an aircraft other than the Company's aircraft unless the Company consents in writing or the operation is a recreational private operation. 18.2 No Pilot will be routinely required to operate services in a manner requiring the ad hoc granting of dispensations from CASA against any published rule or regulation. This clause does not preclude operating in accordance with ad hoc dispensations against CAO/CAR/CASR as approved by CASA. 18.3 Pilots must undertake operational and other duties, as reasonably directed by the Company in accordance with their respective levels of skill, competence and training. Pilot responsibilities include but are not limited to: (a) Performing operational duties associated with the preparation for, and conduct of a flight, including reasonable assistance with normal fuelling and handling of crew baggage. (b) Completion of Statutory and Company documentation associated with a flight. (c) In the case of charter flights, the Company may require a Pilot to handle crew baggage at ports not normally serviced by the Company. (d) The monitoring of Company Notices, completion of CBT’s and professional development programs. (e) Compliance with relevant aviation legislation (and any instruments created thereunder) as amended from time to time. (f) Compliance with the Company's policies and procedures as varied from time to time. (g) Reporting to the Company as soon as practicable i) any known or suspected breach of the Company's policies or procedures; or ii) any act of misconduct of which the Pilot becomes aware. (h) Performing all duties as lawfully directed and at places reasonably requested by the Company.
