Physician Services. Physician services are those services rendered by a licensed physician who possesses the appropriate Medicaid specialty requirements when applicable. A psychiatrist must be certified as a psychiatrist by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry, or have completed a psychiatry residency accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
