Physical dependence Clause Samples

The 'Physical dependence' clause defines the concept of physical dependence as it relates to the use of certain substances or medications within the context of an agreement. It typically clarifies that physical dependence refers to the body's adaptation to a drug, resulting in withdrawal symptoms if the drug is abruptly discontinued. This clause is important in distinguishing physical dependence from addiction, ensuring that parties understand the medical implications and responsibilities regarding the management or disclosure of such conditions, and helps prevent misunderstandings about liability or treatment obligations.
Physical dependence. Abrupt stopping of the drug will lead to withdrawal syndrome characterized. by abdominal cramping, diarrhea, “goose flesh”, and anxiety.
Physical dependence. Physical dependence is a state of adaptation that is manifested by drug class-specific signs and symptoms that can be produced by abrupt cessation, rapid dose reduction, decreasing blood level of the drug, and/or administration of an antagonist. Physical dependence, by itself, does not equate with addiction.
Physical dependence. If I suddenly stop taking an opioid medicine, I can experience withdrawal symptoms such as a runny nose, chills, body aches, diarrhea, sweating, nervousness, nausea, vomiting and trouble sleeping. This is called physical dependence. If this happens, it can be difficult for me to stop taking an opioid medicine, even if it’s not working well. So, when I stop taking an opioid medicine, I understand I will need medical supervision. My prescriber can help me gradually lower the dose and stop the opioid medicine or refer me to a specialist in a way that meets my needs.
Physical dependence. It is clearly understood that the use of these medications may result in physical dependence. (page 1 of 2 Opioid Therapy)
Physical dependence. If you stop your medicine suddenly, you may go through 'withdrawal'. ▇▇▇▇▇▇ born to moms who have a physical dependence on a narcotic medicine may also have these symptoms. Here are the possible withdrawal symptoms:
Physical dependence. This is not the same as addiction. You will develop physical dependence when taking opioids daily. Therefore, you must not stop taking this medication abruptly or you will experience withdrawal symptoms such as nausea and vomiting, sweating, shaking, goose bumps, abdominal pain and cramping, diarrhea, irritability and general muscle aches. Should we decide to stop your medication, we will gradually decrease your dose and taper you off. Be aware that certain other medications such as Nubain, buprenex and stadol may reverse the action of the opioid medication and cause withdraw to begin. Always tell any doctor treating you what medication(s) you are taking.
Physical dependence. ‐ Sudden stopping of an opioid may lead to withdrawal symptoms including abdominal cramping, pain, diarrhea, sweating and irritability.
Physical dependence. This means that abrupt stopping of the drug may lead to withdrawal symptoms characterized by one or more of the following; • Runny nose • Diarrhea • Sweating • Rapid heart rate • Difficulty sleeping for several days • Abdominal cramping • “goose bumps” • Nervousness
