Permit Work. The Government shall include in project costs the value of permit work performed by the Non-Federal Sponsor after the effective date of this Agreement. The value shall be equivalent to the direct costs, documented to the satisfaction of the Government, that the Non-Federal Sponsor incurs in obtaining all permits and licenses necessary for design and construction of the Project, including the permits necessary for placement of the Project on publicly owned or controlled real property interests. Appropriate documentation includes invoices and certification of specific payments to contractors, suppliers, and the Non- Federal Sponsor’s employees involved in obtaining such permits.
