Pensionable Service a. The Board recognizes that where, for any day a teacher is on an authorized leave of absence, that day will be confirmed as a pensionable service day, provided that the leave qualifies as such pursuant to the Teachers' Pension Act. Note: See also B.11 Benefits.

Pensionable Service. The Company agrees to upgrade Pensionable Service for all employees who have been continuously disabled for five (5) years or more to reflect the May 1, 1999; May 1, 2000; May 1, 2001; May 1, 2002; and May 1, 2003, wage increases as outlined below: Employees who are in receipt of Long Term Disability at January 1, 2000, and who have completed a five (5) year qualifying period will have the pensionable service recomputed with effect from that date to reflect the May 1, 1999, wage increase. Employees who are in receipt of Long Term Disability at January 1, 2001, and who have completed a five (5) year qualifying period will have the pensionable service recomputed with effect from that date to reflect the May 1, 2000, wage increase. Pensionable Service. (1) Pensionable Service means any period of Service in respect of which a Member makes contributions in accordance with Section 5.1. For greater clarity, a Member who is employed on a less than full-time basis accrues Pensionable Service on the same basis as a Member employed on a full-time basis.
