Payments While On Leave. During all paid leaves of absence as provided in this 23 Section, the employee shall endorse to the District benefit checks received under state 24 workers' compensation laws. The District shall issue to the employee appropriate 25 warrants and payments of wages and shall deduct normal retirement and all 26 authorized contributions. If combined payments under this Section total less than the 27 normal full salary, as in the case of statutory leave, the employee shall not be required 28 to endorse to the District benefit checks received under workers' compensation laws. 29
