Pause function. A pause function is only applicable to vehicles equipped with AVAS. In case a vehicle is equipped with a pause function the specifications below shall be met.
Pause function. In case a vehicle is equipped with an AVAS, tThe manufacturer may install a pause functioncontrol for a temporary deactivation of the AVAS, which fulfils the specification below. Any other deactivation function, which does not satisfy the specification below, is prohibited.
Pause function. The manufacturer may install a pause function to disable temporarily the audible reverse warning device when a vehicle of category M2 (M>3500 kg), N2, M3, or N3 is equipped with a non-audible safety system, device(s) for means of rear visibility or detection9, allowing the driver to check the hazard area behind the vehicle, including when towing vehicle(s) of category O, and it is ensured that such safety system(s) functions while reversing. Any other disabling function which does not satisfy the specifications below is prohibited.
Pause function. Any pause function as defined in paragraph 2.7. shall be prohibited.
