Particulates Sample Clauses
The 'Particulates' clause defines the standards and limitations regarding the presence of particulate matter in products or processes covered by the agreement. Typically, this clause sets maximum allowable levels for particulates, outlines testing methods, and may specify corrective actions if limits are exceeded. By establishing clear expectations for particulate content, the clause helps ensure product quality and safety, and reduces the risk of disputes over contamination or non-conformance.
Particulates. The concentration of solid particle emissions from each boiler during each named month shall be such that the averaged obscuration values for the chimney to which it is related, measured at 5 minutes intervals, fall within the range specified in respect of that chimney in Table 1 for at least the proportion specified in that table of the number of those intervals in that month during which the chimney is operating.
Particulates. Dust particles; aerosols and gaseous by-products from construction activities shall be controlled at all times, including weekends, holidays and hours when work is not in progress. The Contractor shall maintain stockpiles, and other work areas within or outside the project boundaries free from particulates which would cause the Federal, State, and local air pollution standards to be exceeded or which would cause a hazard or a nuisance. Sprinkling, chemical treatment of an approved type, or other methods will be permitted to control particulates in the work area. Sprinkling, to be efficient, must be repeated to keep the disturbed area damp at all times. The Contractor must have sufficient, competent equipment available to accomplish these tasks. Particulate control shall be performed as the work proceeds and whenever a particulate nuisance or hazard occurs. The Contractor shall comply with all State and local visibility regulations.
Particulates. Tiny particles of solid or liquid suspended in a gas or liquid. A scale of alkalinity or acidity, running from 0 to 14 with 7 representing neutrality, 0 maximum acidity and 14 maximum alkalinity. Microscopic photosynthetic organisms which float or drift in the surface waters of seas and lakes, e.g. diatoms, dinoflagellates. A vessel designed for welding together pipelines and laying them on the seabed. A drilled hole through which oil and gas is extracted. Most populated zone of the ocean (usually the top layer). A bullet shaped, cylindrical or spherical capsule which is inserted into a pipeline flow and travels along with the fluid in the pipeline. Its primary purpose is to scrape the pipeline clean from rust, wax or other deposits. More sophisticated pigs, called intelligent pigs, carry instrumentation used in pipeline inspection. The process of cleaning or measuring internally the pipeline whereby a “pig” is sent though the line to clean/ measure the inside of the pipeline.
