Common use of Partial Shipments Clause in Contracts

Partial Shipments. (a) Except as otherwise expressly stated in any Credit (i) partial shipments may be made under such Credit, and Issuer may honor the relative Drafts without inquiry regardless of any apparent disproportion between the quantity shipped and the amount of the relative Draft and the total amount of such Credit and the total quantity to be shipped under such Credit, and (ii) if such Credit specifies shipments in installments within stated periods and the shipper fails to ship in any designated period, shipments of subsequent installments may nevertheless be made in their respective designated periods and Issuer may honor the relative Drafts.
