or Lower. An employee whose job is being eliminated, and who has the seniority, but is not ‘Immediately Qualified’ to replace another employee, shall have the privilege of exercising his/her seniority rights under the following restrictions/requirements: i) The position being displaced is in Wage Classification 6 or lower and the current position held is in the same classification or lower; and ii) The employee will be given a training period of 10 working days; and iii) The employee must demonstrate competency within a 10 working day period; and iv) The employee will be on probation for a period up to 60 calendar days (not including the 10 working day Training Period) to allow Management to determine whether or not the employee is satisfactory in the new position.
