Optional Teaching Schedule. Upon request from a site administrator, secondary teachers on a traditional schedule may agree, on an as-needed basis, to teach six (6) periods the first semester and four (4) periods the second semester with two (2) preparation periods the second semester. Preparation periods shall be consecutive unless the site administrator and the employee mutually agree otherwise. When more than one (1) teacher from a department volunteers, seniority shall prevail.
