Operational objectives. Any or all of the following operational objectives should be considered a reasonable and sufficient basis to engage in PCSOT activities: A. Increased disclosure of problem behavior that will be of interest to professionals who work with persons convicted of a sexual offense; B. Deterrence of problem behavior among persons convicted of a sexual offense by increasing the likelihood that engagement in such behaviors will be brought to the attention of supervision and treatment professionals; and C. Detection of involvement in or abstinence from problem behavior that would alert supervision and treatment professionals to any escalation in the level of threat to the community or potential victims of sexual abuse.
