Common use of Operating Reserves Clause in Contracts

Operating Reserves. The Office of the Interconnection shall schedule to the Operating Reserve and load-following objectives of the PJM Control Area in scheduling resources pursuant to this Schedule. A table of Operating Reserve objectives is calculated seasonally for various peak load levels and eight weekly periods and is published in the PJM Manuals. Reserve levels are probabilistically determined based on the season's historical load forecasting error and expected generation mix (including typical Planned and Forced/Unplanned Outages). 1.7.18
